CLUB BOATS
We have an extensive range of club boats available for use by members, ranging from stable TK1s to racing K2s and K4s.
The aim of these boats is to get new members involved in the sport before they purchase their own boat and to allow members to compete in team boats (K2/K4)without the need to purchase their own. We also have Club paddles available to new members to get true beginners going in the sport.
CURRENT FEES FOR MEMBERS’ USE OF CLUB BOATS
The Current rate for members to hire Club K1 craft is $100 per Quarter ie 3 months. Please note the conditions of use below.
RULES FOR THE USE OF CLUB BOATS AND PADDLES ARE SET OUT BELOW;
1. Club craft may only be used by financial club members during:
- Coaching squads during official squad classes.
- Sunday Races.
- Club sanctioned events with approval.
- By request in writing to the board.
2. New members of the Club can use Club K1s for up to 12 months after joining.
3. No alterations are permitted to be carried out on club craft that are deemed to be permanent.
4. Any damage to club craft must be reported in writing and repairs carried out at the expense of the member concerned unless such damage is agreed by the committee to have been “unavoidable”.
5. When using Club boats, an entry shall be made in the Club Boat Register with the users name and time and date of use, noting any damage or defects so that we may undertake repairs.
6. New members can use Club paddles for up to 6 weeks from joining. As this is a key piece of equipment fairly specific to you, it is in you best interests also to get a paddle of your own to further develop your skills
